Abe Lagrimas, Jr. has definitely found his niche in the jazz world and that is through the ukelele. He is highly regarded as an expert in ukelele jazz and is always fascinating to watch. He has written books on how to play jazz music using the ukelele. 


A member of SAG/AFTRA for more than 35 years, Abe has appeared in many films and commercials. Abe took acting classes in the early 1970s after he served in the US Air Force. Using his GI Bill, he attended Theater of Arts, and Strassberg Acting Academy in L.A. He took a long break from acting until he was cast in a feature movie called, "Flip Side" directed by Rod Pulido in 1999, the 1st Fil-Am movie that was accepted in Sundance Film Festival. Dr. Bernard Ellorin is a Filipino American ethnomusicologist and the music director for the Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts & Education Center promoting Philippine cultural music with artistry, integrity and respect. As the artistic director of the Pakaraguian kulintang ensemble, he gives workshops and private lessons on kulintang music from the southern Philippines. He is an adjunct faculty at two community colleges--Miramar and MiraCosta College--in San Diego County.

Darryl is best known for his role in the movie “Karate Kid.” Darryl was chosen to be the stunt double for the actor Pat Morita’s role, “Mr. Miyagi” on the beach doing the now famous “crane kick.” Darryl also appeared as himself in the tournament fighting scenes later in the tournament semi-finals. In 2012, Darryl was promoted to Ju Dan (10th degree Grandmaster) by GM Rosas and the Rosas Kenpo Karate Association (RKKA) after over 30 years of training and teaching.

Last year, he won the SoCal Pinoys Songwriting Contest. Most recently, he has written new songs for the release of his new album that is available on all streaming platforms.

They preformed all over San Diego and they were present in all the Freestyle Session and B-boy Summit events. Nelson is now the CEO of Picture Flicks in San Diego, California, which is a premier headshot studio and content creator rental studio.

Nicole Dumaguindin works for Asian Pacific Counseling and Treatment Centers as a Filipino Community Mental Health Promoter of Riverside County. She graduated from USC with a Master of Science in Global Medicine degree and spent two years as a Community Health Worker in the Cordillera Region of the Philippines. She organizes "Kapihan Wellness Workshops," created the "Kapwa Kabataan-Inland Empire" Filipino Youth Leadership in Mental Health program, and is the Filipino contact for the Riverside County API Older Adult Program.

Paru Frances Leanne Cariño Herrera-Lim (she/they) is a cross-cultural b-girl, artist and chef migrating from Virginia, Manila, London and Chicago. Sculpted by the nomadic nature of their formative years, she thanks DePaul University’s breaking (dance) club, The LAB (Chicago) and social justice theater, Free Street for catalyzing her creative energy. She relocated to L.A. in 2017 to expand her practice in guided movement + zine publication.

Rhandy Torres is a Filipino American actor born in Manila, Philippines. Rhandy graduated from Sts. John & Paul College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. In 2019, Rhandy landed a starring role in the Fil-Am indie feature The Year I Did Nothing which garnered numerous awards in the film festival circuit. He followed it up with a feature role in South Central Love. Later that year, he also got his first national TV commercial for the US Census.


Rexy was the birth name magically given to her, despite the fact that she was supposed to be named something else but her mother forgot last minute. Born in Manila, raised in the streets of LA. Rexy mostly identifies as an Un-identifiable Free-Floating Object. Multi-Faceted, Multi-Sensory, Multi-Dimensional, & Multi-Dysfunctional. Based in Los Angeles, Ric Ickard is a Naxos international recording artist. He is a featured artist at the annual Chet Atkins Convention in Nashville, Tennessee and was a headlining performer at the 2011 Philippine International Jazz Festival. Before going to formal studies, he has performed a first guitar concert at the age of 17. Ric earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree with piano as principal instrument in St. Paul University Manila. Ric was a recipient of the Philippine government scholarship in classical guitar and composition. He was a first prize awardee of both the classical and jazz guitar competitions in the Philippine Guitar Festival by the Yamaha School of Music. A veteran musician, his vast repertoire generates demand for accompaniment by singers and soloists alike. He is a recipient of the Spotlight Award of Los Angeles as an Instrumentalist of the Year 2017.

Rue is an indie folk duo composed of Rachel Cauilan and Kaitlyn Fae. The two began recording music in early 2020 and are currently gearing up to release their first EP as the soundtrack to an upcoming short film entitled Borrowed Light, directed by Madison Kennedy and written by Jenapher Zheng. Vocalist and keyboardist Kaitlyn Fae is a filmmaker, actor, writer and podcast host. Guitarist and producer Rachel Cauilan is a music and entertainment journalist. Tangelene Bolton is a film, TV and media composer known for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Just a Thought, which can be seen on Disney+ as a part of the Short Circuit Experimental Films series. She also recently worked on the new Marvel’s Avengers game as Technical Score Engineer/Additional Drum Programmer, writes additional music on the CBS legal drama show, All Rise, and is a 2020 Sundance Film Music in Animation Composer Fellow.

Tierra Nabors is a 21-year-old who has been involved with theater for about eight years. She was last seen on stage as Ilse Neumann in Spring Awakening in November 2019 at Riverside City College. Set to go up in June of 2020, she was the choreographer for Phil413’s In the Heights directed by Bobbie Sotomayor under production direction of Amber Valentina Johnson. She is currently a second year Musical Theater major attending Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA and is forever grateful for this opportunity.


Trina Marana is an L.A.-based singer/songwriter. The purity in Marana's vocal tone captivates and embraces her audience and takes them on an exhilarating musical ride that they will want to take over and over again. She has performed in world famous jazz venues in LA and Hollywood including the world-famous Catalina Bar & Grill. Musician, Jazz Pianist

Winston Raval, an accomplished keyboardist and considered one of the best in the Philippines, is also a prolific composer with over 20 original movie scores to his credit. He won the Gawad Urian Award for Best Musical Scoring in the movie "Ikaw Ay Akin" directed by Ishmael Bernal and starring Vi Santos, La Aunor and Chris De Leon in 1978. He also composed a rock opera called "Ang Munting Alamat" that was presented for the opening of the Metropolitan Opera in Manila.

Xella is an alternative RnB band from Los Angeles, CA. Starting out as four longtime jam buddies these four
proud Phil-Americans finally formed Xella in Summer 2019. Influenced by their mutual love for music from pop and rock to hip hop and soul they infused their laidback vibe in their soulful melodies with lyrics that reflect their own life lessons and experiences. They will be releasing their next single “Sugar” this spring.
