Melissa Pontanilla
Music Director, Pianist, Vocalist and Composer

A music degree graduate from University of Southern California, Melissa has implemented her God-given talents for music in multiple ways. She currently serves as music director, pianist, vocalist and composer for Catholic band Rock SALT since 2000 at St. Augustine Church in Culver City. She also enjoys singing as a founding member of Turnstyle, a vocal jazz a cappella ensemble.

Martin Schloemer
Vocalist and Musician

Martin Schloemer grew up in Northern Virginia, spent his college years in Florida studying music composition and audio engineering, and moved out to Los Angeles in late 2000 where he’s worked in the film & TV post-production industry ever since. Along the way he’s performed with various blues-based rock bands, and is currently part of the L.A.-based rock band, West Rd, the Catholic musical group, Rock S.A.L.T. and the 4-part jazz a capella group, Turnstyle.

Abe Lagrimas, Jr.
Solo Ukelele Jazz Musician

Abe Lagrimas, Jr. has definitely found his niche in the jazz world and that is through the ukelele. He is highly regarded as an expert in ukelele jazz and is always fascinating to watch. He has written books on how to play jazz music using the ukelele.

Eric Baul
Baritone singer/songwriter/ producer

Eric Baul is an L.A.-based baritone singer/songwriter/ producer and owner of 575 Entertainment. He has been performing at Southern Cali jazz spots including the Gardenia and the world-famous Catalina Bar & Grill since the early 2000s. His debut album “Straight Ahead” in collaboration with jazz artists Winston Raval and Trina Marana is available on all streaming platforms.

Ric Ickard
Award-winning international recording artist and guitar player

Based in Los Angeles, Ric Ickard is a Naxos international recording artist. He is a featured artist at the annual Chet Atkins Convention in Nashville, Tennessee and was a headlining performer at the 2011 Philippine International Jazz Festival. Before going to formal studies, he has performed a first guitar concert at the age of 17. Ric earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree with piano as principal instrument in St. Paul University Manila. Ric was a recipient of the Philippine government scholarship in classical guitar and composition. He was a first prize awardee of both the classical and jazz guitar competitions in the Philippine Guitar Festival by the Yamaha School of Music. A veteran musician, his vast repertoire generates demand for accompaniment by singers and soloists alike. He is a recipient of the Spotlight Award of Los Angeles as an Instrumentalist of the Year 2017
