BEHIND THE STORY: MY JOURNEY

Mic Diaz is a host, writer, publisher, producer, creative strategist, and media entrepreneur whose work centers on storytelling, culture, and human connection. She is the founder, publisher, host, and editor in chief of Mic Diaz Presents, a multimedia company bringing people, stories, brands, and communities together.


With a professional background spanning journalism, marketing, public relations, higher education, entertainment, and event production, Mic has worked with organizations including the Los Angeles Daily News, Tower Records, UC Berkeley, Stanford University, the University of Southern California, and Grand Performances.


In 2020, Mic began developing independent media projects that would eventually grow into Mic Diaz Presents. Today, its platforms include Chat with Mic, In the Mix Magazine, In the Mix Weekly, digital and editorial content, live experiences, community initiatives, and strategic brand partnerships.

As an interviewer and storyteller, Mic is drawn to the person behind the accomplishment. Her conversations explore the experiences, challenges, ideas, and defining moments that shape people's lives.


Her work has been recognized for media, entrepreneurship, creative strategy, and community impact, including the 2026 Global Leadership Excellence in Creative Strategy, Media and Community Impact Award and recognition as one of the 75 Most Influential Filipino-Americans in 2022.

At the heart of Mic's work is a simple belief: stories create connection, and connection creates community. Through Mic Diaz Presents, she creates spaces where people feel seen, heard, valued, and connected.
