MEET THE FOUNDER

Mic Diaz is a host, writer, publisher, producer, creative strategist, and media entrepreneur whose work centers on storytelling, culture, and human connection. She is the founder, CEO, publisher, and chief storyteller behind Mic Diaz Presents, a global multimedia company creating platforms where people, stories, brands, and communities come together.

A natural connector and storyteller, Mic has built her career around discovering compelling people, asking meaningful questions, and creating spaces where voices can be heard and stories can be shared. Whether she is sitting across from a guest for an intimate conversation, writing a feature, publishing a magazine, producing a live experience, or bringing people together through a partnership, her work is rooted in curiosity, connection, and the belief that everyone has a story worth telling.

Her professional background spans journalism, marketing, public relations, broadcasting, higher education, entertainment, event production, and digital media. Throughout her career, she has worked with organizations including the Los Angeles Daily News, Tower Records, the University of California, Berkeley, Stanford University, the University of Southern California, and Grand Performances. These experiences gave Mic a unique combination of editorial instinct, creative vision, marketing strategy, and community-building expertise that continues to shape her work today.

Mic's journey as an independent media entrepreneur took shape in 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought live events and performances to a standstill. She created Who Are We?, an interview series featuring artists, entrepreneurs, community leaders, nonprofit organizations, healthcare professionals, and changemakers. She also launched the virtual Jam Sessions, giving musicians and entertainers a space to perform and reconnect with audiences during an unprecedented period of isolation.

Those early projects evolved into Mic Diaz Presents, with Chat with Mic emerging as its flagship interview platform. Known for conversations that move beyond prepared talking points, Mic approaches interviews with curiosity and intuition, allowing each guest's story to unfold naturally. Her conversations explore not only what people have accomplished, but who they are, what shaped them, and what they have learned along the way.

Today, Mic Diaz Presents has grown into a multimedia ecosystem encompassing Chat with Mic, In the Mix Magazine, In the Mix Weekly, editorial features, digital content, photography, video, live experiences, community initiatives, and strategic brand partnerships. Together, these platforms allow Mic to tell stories across multiple formats—from the spoken conversation to the written word, from the printed page to the stage.

Beyond storytelling, Mic is a creative strategist who understands how media can create visibility, credibility, relationships, and opportunity. Drawing from her background in marketing, public relations, direct response marketing, creative development, and event production, she works with entrepreneurs, organizations, artists, and brands to help them connect authentically with audiences and communities.

At the heart of Mic's work is connection. She sees media not simply as content, but as a way of bringing people into conversation with one another. Her ability to move between interviewer, writer, publisher, producer, strategist, and community builder reflects a larger purpose: creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, valued, and connected.

Her work has received recognition for media, entrepreneurship, storytelling, and community impact. In 2026, Mic received the Global Leadership Excellence in Creative Strategy, Media and Community Impact Award at the Global Impact Summit and Awards in Indonesia. Her previous honors include the Outstanding Columnist/Podcaster Award from the Filipino-American Press Club of California (2024); the Spotlight Award for Excellence in Business: Best New Business, Event Promotions (2024); the Woman of Worth Award for Emerging Women Leaders, Excellence in Event Promotions (2023); recognition as one of the 75 Most Influential Filipino-Americans (2022); the Spotlight Award for Excellence in Entertainment: Show of the Year for Himig Natin (2022); and the Amerasia Award for Most Outstanding Concert/Show Producer of Southern California (2021).

As Mic Diaz Presents continues to grow, Mic is building more than a collection of shows, publications, and events. She is building an independent media platform where meaningful conversations become stories, stories become connections, and connections create community.
